Set-Up Instructions: Windows 2000

Please use the following instructions to set-up Windows 2000 for a dial-up connection to Tellurian Networks.

  1. Go to "Start > Settings > Networking and Dial-Up Connections"
  1. Double-click the "Make New Connection" icon.
  1. After the "Network Connection Wizard" opens, click [Next >].
  1. For the "Network Connection Type", select "Dial-up to the Internet" and click [Next >].
  1. Select "I want to set up my Internet connection manually, or I want to connect through a local area network (LAN)" and then click [Next >].
  1. Select "I connect through a phone line and a modem" and then click [Next >].
  1. Uncheck "Use area code and dialing rules", enter the access number, and then Click [Next >].

IMPORTANT! The phone number displayed below is an example only, please click here to find an access number that is a local non-toll number for you.

  1. Enter your Tellurian Networks username and password and then click [Next >].
  1. Enter "Tellurian Networks" for the connection name and then click [Next >].
  1. Select "No" for the "Do you want to set up an Internet mail account now?" option and then click [Next >]
  1. Uncheck the "To connect to the Internet immediately, select this box" option and then click [Finish].
  1. Right-click the Tellurian Networks icon and click Create Shortcut.
  1. When a window pops up stating that "Windows cannot create a shortcut here. Do you want the shortcut to be placed on your desktop instead?" Click [Yes].
  1. Close the "Networking and Dial-Up Connections" folder.
  2. You should now have a Tellurian Networks icon on your desktop. To connect, simply double-click the icon and click Connect.
