QUESTION:

Why can't I save my dial-up password with Windows 95?

POSSIBLE SOLUTION(S):

The problem that you are having is a bug in Windows 95.

  1. Delete your username.pwl file in the C:/WINDOWS/ folder.

  2. Log off or Restart Windows.

  3. Leave the password field blank and click on OK when prompted for a password in the "Enter Windows Password" box.

  4. Leave both password fields blank in the "Set Windows Password" box and click on OK.

  5. Double-Click the Tellurian Networks dial-up shortcut.

  6. Enter your username and/or password if missing in the "Connect to" dialog box.

  7. Check the "Save Password" box.

  8. Click the "connect" button.

NOTE: You must connect successfully to Tellurian Networks once before your password will be saved for future sessions.
