QUESTION:

Why do I get a "Secure Password Authentication" error when I check my email?

POSSIBLE SOLUTION(S):

  • To disable Secure Password Authentication follow these instructions:

    1. Open Outlook Express.

    2. Click "Tools." Then click "Accounts."

    3. A window will pop up. You want to click on the "mail" tab.

    4. Click on "pop3.tellurian.net." It will become highlighted. Then click "Properties" on the right hand side.

    1. Another window will pop up. Click on the "Server" tab.

    2. Uncheck "Log on using Secure Password Authentication."

    3. Click "Apply" and "OK."
