QUESTION:

Why am I getting a false busy signal or why do I hear a recorded message through my modem?

POSSIBLE SOLUTION(S):

Check your access number and make sure it is correct.

  1. Double click the Tellurian Networks icon on your desktop.

  2. Click Properties.

  3. Make sure that "Use Dialing Rules" is NOT checked for both primary and backup numbers.

  4. You may be dialing an outside line access number (usually 8, or 9,) or trying to disable call waiting when there is no call waiting on the line (*70 or 1172). Make sure that you only have these codes entered if you actually need them.

  5. Check for the area code. Enter 1 and/or the area code if necessary.
